A record year:
over 850 jackets donated to local organizations!

The third "Give Happiness and Warmth" jacket donation campaign, which was held in all Chlorophylle boutiques since the beginning of November, was a huge success. We are extremely proud to announce that 862 people (families, men or women in need) will receive a second-hand coat through the 12 participating organizations.

From November 5 to December 19, 2021, Chlorophylle offered the possibility to the person who brought back a second hand coat to obtain $75 off a new winter coat for an adult. Each store was paired with a community organization in their area to donate the winter items collected.

A wave of generosity

In the 14 Chlorophylle boutiques, employees are proud to participate in this event which allows them to reuse clothing and reduce the use of textiles, but above all to make a gesture that has a significant impact on people's lives. "Our customers are really generous. I have received coats with all their accessories and even a full snowsuit. It's a privilege to participate in this chain of giving to the next", explains Nathalie Richard, manager of the Sherbrooke boutique.

Beautiful stories

You will find below the list of organizations participating in the jacket donation campaign.

They had some great stories to share with us. We are more than happy," says Michel St-Gelais, Executive Director of the Maison d'Accueil pour sans-abri de Saguenay. At the time of the first coat collection, which was close to fifty items, our host had stars in his eyes. This collaboration with Chlorophylle is a great success.

The Maison de la famille de Gatineau was very pleased with this partnership with Chlorophylle. "The jacket donation will allow many families to be well clothed this winter. It is thanks to partnerships such as this one that we can accomplish our mission of accompanying families. Thank you for this generous gesture," enthused Véronique Charron, Executive Director.

The Maison de la famille Mirabel echoed the same sentiment, as Assistant Director Geneviève Langlois was amazed at the quality of the coats received. "One of our educational assistants, Martha, came to Quebec with her three children. She came from Mexico and this is her first winter. We dressed her whole family in clean, high quality coats. Her 16 year old was very happy with the design and the color! We made a lot of people happy."

A monetary donation

As a new addition to this third edition, there was the possibility of a monetary donation. Thus, throughout the network and on our website chlorophylle.com, we raised close to $850, which will be shared among the participating organizations.
